FATHER NEMANJA S. MRDJENOVICH
Very Reverend Presbyter Nemanja Mrdjenovic (pron. Nemanya Mrjenovich) was born in 1983 in Nova Gradiska.
He completed a Bachelor of Arts degree, at the University of Western Sydney with major in History, Politics and Philosophy and sub-major in Social and Cultural Analysis. Father Nemanja did his undergraduate studies of theology at the Orthodox faculty of Belgrade University and his master studies at St. Andrew’s Greek Orthodox Theological College in Sydney.
He authored two books: “Прилози за ново начертаније – шта је србски национални интерес” (Contributions for the new plan - what is the Serbian national interest) 2004, Belgrade, IHTUS - Christian Book; and ''Kонзервативна pеволуција - песме'' (Conservative Revolution – Poems) 2007, Belgrade, Centre for Research of Orthodox Monarchism. He published numerous articles, essays and studies in various printed and electronic media.
Fr Nemanja is a recipient of several literary awards in Serbia and abroad, including the recognition of the Royal literary Club "Karageorgevich". He was awarded the Russian Order of "Value, honor and glory", the commemorative medal 1613-2013 of the Imperial house of Romanoff, Cossack medals "One faith - one nation" and “For rebirth od Cossack movement”.
He was ordained a deacon by His Grace Bishop Irinej of Australia and New Zealand on the Nativity of the Holy Theotokos 2010. Three years later he was ordained a presbyter and at the same Liturgy, as a prior diocesan protodeacon, he was elevated to the dignity of protovicarius. Very Rev. Fr. Nemanja S. Mrdjenovic was a Secretary of the Metropolitanate Executive Board, as well as the Secretary of the Ecclesiastical Court of the Metropolitanate and of other Metropolitanate bodies from 2010 until 2015. Since 2015 he is a second parish priest at St George Cathedral in Cabramatta.
He became a permanent associate of the Centre for Research of Orthodox Monarchism (CROM) in 2004 where he does research mainly in the fields of political theory, history, culture, and of course theology. He represented CROM at several international conferences. He is a member of the Board for Culture and the Board for Theological Studies. From June 2008 until October 2012 he served as the Secretary of CROM, then from 2012 until 2016 as the Director. Curentlly Fr. Nemanja holds the office of CROM Vice Director.
