THE ROYAL SLAVA AND
THE ROYAL STANDARD
In the Royal White Palace in Belgrade, on 30. November (13 December) 2012, Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Aleksandar II Karageorgevich, Princess Katarina, Prince Filip, Princess Jelisaveta and Princess Eleonora, celebrated The Royal Family’s Patron Saint Day (Slava) Saint Apostle Andrew the First Called.
In the morning, the Divine Liturgy was celebrated at the Royal Court Chapel of Saint Andrew the First Called by His Holiness Patriarch Irinej of Serbia and His Grace The Right Reverend Bishop Jovan of Shumadija with the clergy of The Belgrade-Karlovci Metropolitanate, in the presence of Their Graces The Right Reverend Bishops: k.k. Lavrentije of Shabatz; k.k. Ignjatije of Branichevo; k.k. Vasilije of Zvornik and Tuzla; k.k. Joanikije of Budimlje and Nikshich; k.k. Atanasije of Hvosno; k.k. Porfirije of Jegar; The Very Venerable Archmandrite Metodije, Hegumen of The Holy Serbian Imperial Laura Monastery Hilandar; The Very Reverend Protopresbyter-Staurophor Branko Mitrovich, The Episcopal Vicar of Belgrade-Posavina; The Very Reverend Protopresbyter-Staurophor Branko Topalovich, The Episcopal Vicar of Belgrade Second; The Very Reverend Protopresbyter-Staurophor Dragomir Ubiparipovich, The Episcopal Vicar of Vrachar-Grotzka etc.
The solemn rite of the cutting of Slava cake followed in the Blue Room of The Royal Palace, and was officiated by His Grace The Right Reverend Bishop k.k. Lavrentije of Shabatz.
In the afternoon and evening receptions many guests were present, and among them Members of The Royal Family, representatives of the Government of Serbia, Diplomatic Corps, members of the Privy Council, Crown Council, Crown Cabinet, as well city and town Mayors, academics, representatives of the Armed Forces, Police, Monarchy clubs, international organizations, cultural institutions, sports associations, the media, health institutions, and numerous distinguished persons from the cultural, political, business, academic and public life of Serbia.

In the name of The Centre for Research of Orthodox Monarchism were present associates of The Board for Heraldic and Genealogical Studies: The Reverend Father Deacon Hadzi Nenad M. Jovanovich, chairman of The Board and herald of The Princely Branch of The Serbian Royal House of Karageorgevich; prof. Ljubodrag Lj. Grujich, heraldic artist of The Board and heraldic artist of The Royal House of Serbia with his spouse Sonja and dipl.oecc. Nebojsha Dikich, heraldic artist of The Board and heraldic artist of The Princely Branch of The Serbian Royal House of Karageorgevich, with his spouse Marija.
During the main evening reception, in an appropriate ceremony, was held the handing of the new Royal Standard of The Royal House of Karageorgevich of Serbia and Yugoslavia, to The Head of The House of Karageorgevich, His Royal Highness Crown Prince Aleksandar II Karageorgevich. The Royal Standard was presented by dipl.ing.arch. Dragomir Atzovich BO1, vice-chairman of The Privy Council and chief herald of The Royal House; Mr Bojan Starchevich, chairman of The Kingdom of Serbia Association and our associate, prof. Ljubodrag Lj. Grujich, who is, at the same time, the author of the Standard.
